Oil Tank Installation

At A4 Fuel Oils all of our installation teams are fully qualified to carry out the replacement or re-location of your oil tanks. Our specialist tank teams who are based in Berkshire cover most of the South of England and can replace your tank at any time; there is no need to wait until the oil has run down. With no need to involve additional contractors, we would be happy to carry out your tank installation from start to finish.

How do we replace your Oil Tank?

• Firstly we pump out the oil from your existing oil tank into a holding tank or 200 litre drums.
• We then remove your old tank.
• The next step is to prepare a solid flat base for the tank to sit upon. (This is required for plastic tank installations but not for steel.)
• The oil tank can then be installed including all the connections to your pipe work.
• We then transfer the oil back into your new tank ensuring any contaminants, which can include water, sediment and rust particles, have been fully removed.

Occasionally oil tanks can be very difficult to remove due to their location, this often occurs when additional buildings and extensions may have been built after the oil tank had been installed. At A4 Fuel Oils we have qualified engineers who can evaluate the location and formulate the best way to effect the installation and removal with the minimal disruption to your surroundings.

You may wish to re-locate your oil tank to a different site on your property; we can undertake the work by either laying a concrete base or laying a paving slab base. When necessary, to gravity feed your appliance (Which Aga's often require) we will build block piers to give the correct height or install a tiger loop to assist the flow to the boiler.

All associated pipe work from the appliance to the oil tank, normally in copper can be dug underground or clipped to a near by wall and then pressure tested to ensure there are no leaks or air locks.
